SEASON 3 FINALe

Last round of an amazing season took place in Zuera Short (ESP), where the drivers contended for the championship win, and what a fight it was! It was Doorgest who put it on pole position in qualifying. He was looking for a perfect points haul to try and clinch second place in the standings. With him, Ceronetti and Heathman were in the fight for second. Petersson had a lead to defend and started his day off in an abrupt way by qualifying second-to last in the heats. After an exciting triplet of heats it was Doorgest who took a convincing pole position for the prefinal. Ceronetti followed behind in second, Petersson in thrid having made up lost ground and Heathman was 7th. Doorgest took an immeidate advantage in the prefinal, taking the win ahead of a threatening Joel Oswick who had come back from 6th. Following a mistake Ceronetti finished 6th, taking him out the championship fight and Petersson took a safe 3rd to consolidate his Season 3 Champion title! It was still all to play for the honours of the runner up spot! Heathman finished in 4th. After the pre-final, it was sure that FPR were going to win the Team's championship too, in absence of KR Sport.

In the final Doorgest's hopes of taking a potential second place in the championship were crushed following an accident that dropped him to last, and despite his efforts, he only managed to finish 7th and finish 5th in the championship. The FPR boys pushed away to clinch 1st and 2nd. Petersson became champion and won the race, Heathman managed to finish second in the championship, on a tied situation! Max Dane Tadd, Ceronetti and Heathman were all tied on points, but Heathman won over them as he had obtained more total points. Oswick finished 3rd in the race, and Ceronetti in 4th. Rounding out the top 5 was Ethan Lampe who had shown amazing flashes of brilliane during the night being always one of the fastest on track. Bryce Stevens finished 6th, consolidating the rookie championship and the privateer one as well!

Season 3 was full of action, and we are ready for Season 4! Stay Tuned!

DOORGESTS' FIRST OF MANY

Coming into NJMP (USA), the drivers championship standings were tight, and now they are even closer after an absolute banger of a round in the states!

Max Dane Tadd took an immediate advantage after a triplet of action-packed heats. Doorgest lined up second for the Pre-Final grid, with Ceronetti and Heathman rounding up the second row.

Heathman had to retire early on following a crash in the pre-final, whilist Tadd ran away clear with the win and showing an imperative pace over the rest. Doorgest, Petersson and Ceronetti were left to fight it out for second place. In the end Doorgest came out on top of that fight, with Petersson and Ceronetti following up behind him.

The final showed some action with Tadd being forced out wide in turn one, Doorgest taking the lead and Oswick coming up to second with Ceronetti in third. Doorgest quickly pulled out a gap on Oswick which was then maintained. Ceronetti had an off which cost him thrid place to Max Dane Tadd who had done a brilliant job of coming back up the field and dropping the likes of Heathman and Petersson. Bryce Stevens and Aiden Kempf were intensly battling out too. In the end, the race ws quite spread out at the front, and saw Doorgest taking the win with Oswick and Tadd rounding up the podium.

Ceronetti's performance in the pre-final and final allows him to extend his championship lead against Max Dane Tadd who is his closest rival at the minute, in second place with just a 3 point gap. Petersson remains in third place, 5 points behind Ceronetti. Doorgests stunning performace promotes him to fourth place, only a point away from Petersson. Rounding out the top 5 is Aaron Heathman, whom after a difficult night, finds himself 15 points away from the top. In the Privateers and Rookies championship, Bryce Stevens has one up on Aiden Kempf, leading him by 2 points.

In the teams standings, FPR got full attendance over KR, OSK and BMR. This allows them to pull a 74 point lead over KR Sport. OSK are only 3 points away from KR in thrid place.

it's the double k show!

The Season 3 opener at Lonato (ITA) showed some sparks flying and great rivalries being lit up!
Right away from Qualifying Practice, it was Alexander Kirkwood who put his KR Sport kart on pole position. Following behind, 3 tenths away, was Alessandro Ceronetti and Aaron Heathman, a further tenth away. Reigning Season 2 runner-up was a far last, after not being able to set a lap time in his qualifying session.

In the heats, tensions rised and saw a few crashes but some great racing over the 10 man kart field. The winners out of these heats were Kirkwood and Petersson, after starting last in every heat. Max Dane Tadd also had some good finishes in his heats, bringing himself and teammate Kirkwood to make a front row lockout for the Pre-Final. Jesse Doorgest showed amazing pace, and brought his BMR kart on the fourth grid slot, lining up along side Ceronetti.

In the Pre-Final, Ceronetti took an immediate advantage by somehow slotting his kart into the lead in front of a struggling Kirkwood who had the likes of Tadd, Heathman and Petersson to cover off. Ceronetti soon pulled away and extended his gap to win the Pre-Final. The battle was focused behind him though which saw the American of Heathman come out on top of that battle. Kirkwood lost out and finished in fourth place. Petersson finished third. Aiden Kempf further in 6th place, also had a good battle with Bryce Stevens, seeing both Americans finish in the top 7.

In the Final, again, Ceronetti had a great start and pulled away from the rest. Kirkwood battled his way through to 2nd Place, but was constantly forced into battle by Heathman and Petersson. Heathman eventually was forced into an incident which demoted him back to last place. In the meantime, Max Dane Tadd caught up to the like of Petersson and started jossling for position. A stellar comeback driver from Ethan Lampe though, saw him prevail on top, finishing in an impressive thrid place. Kirkwood eventually caught up to Ceronetti, having showed some outstanding pace all weekend and nearly dominating the weekend. It was Kirkwood to win the opening round and Ceronetti to finish second. Lampe suffered a non-scruiteneering compliance penalty, demoting him to last place, which promoted Petersson to the bottom step of the podium. Ceronetti walks away from the round leading the championship by one point over Kirkwood, thanks to his earlier Pre-Final win. Petersson follows close behind just 5 points away, and Max Dane Tadd 3 points away in fourth. Kirkwood is also top rookie, and Aiden Kempf is top Privateer, being joint on points with compatriot and rival for the privateer championship Bryce Stevens. Everyone still has a chance to make it up for the championship lead. In the teams standing, KR Sport are dominating over FPR. Season 3 has started with a bang, and the second round seems to be set for an even better race! Stay tuned!

ones to watch for the season 3 title

After seeing some great racing in the previous season, and after a large taleneted grid ready for action in Season 3, there are a few drivers you should keep an eye on...

Joel Oswick is your all-time favorite, being the winner of the first season, and the winner of sevral rounds. The brit is looking to make a comeback after his third place previous season. Taking on the fastest laptime of the qualifiers event in just 13 laps, Oswick looks to be a serious contender for the title.

Another name who has seen suprised faces is the American, Aaron Heathman. The man from Fresno, showed flashes of speed in the last Season, and was 4th in the main qualifiers event. After having had consecutive top 5 finished in the last few seasons, Heathman is looking to finish a potential top 3, or even to be a contender for the title!

Another brit who looks strong for this season's title is last season's winner, Alessandro Ceronetti. After having found his luck in the last few rounds last year, the OSK Team member is looking to retain his title against tough competition. Having set the second fastest lap in the qualifiers event, he proved that he still has the pace to be at the front.

A new face to the championship is Corrie Hiatt, who showed outstanding pace in the qualifiers event looks to be a serious contender for the title, having set the third fastest lap in the qualifiers event. The american showed great consistency in the qualifiers event, and seems to be a tough opponent.

Another new face, who left a few baffled faces, is the scot of Alexander Kirkwood. The scot took part in the second chance qualifiers, but set the overall fastest lap time in the whole qualifiers. Kirkwood looks to have some immense pace and outstanding consistency, and will be a tough opponent to beat. Although we still have not seen him in a race situation, I classify him as a top contender for this season's title.

This season, the talent in the grid is really high and looks to bring a few suprises from the other drivers. Oscar Pedersen showed excellent flashes of speed, and so did Max Dane Tadd and Cory Hayes. This season looks to be a banger! Interested to spectate the races? Send an email to us, and we will get you sorted out to spectate the races!

Final win for petersson and championship for ceronetti

At the last round of season 2 of the OKC championships, Ceronetti came into the round leading the championship, with Petersson and Oswick following up less than 5 points behind them. It was Ceronetti who poled in the heats and taking the win of 2 of them. The other heat was won by Heathman who had only just missed his first series pole position. Heathman taking the fastest lap in all the heats was a serious contender for a top spot in the finals. Max Dane Tadd and Petersson were also fast, having qualified in the top 4 for the prefinal grid. Unfortunately Heathman dropped back in the prefinal after having had a crash with fellow compatriot Ian Bushey, who had made a return to Kart Racing Pro like Corrie Hiatt earlier on in the season. It was Ceronetti who won the prefinal, with Tadd behind and Petersson rounding up the top 3. Bushey had acheieved a good fourth place. The grid was set for the last final of the season, only until half of the grid crashed on the first lap, causing a battenburg procedure. After the green flag, there was another crash where there was another battenburg procedure. This only slowed things down and brought the race very close. After the second restart the pack was tight, and Petersson took the lead away from Ceronetti with Heathman, Bushey and Tadd battling it out allowing the two BKC boys to pull away from the rest. Into the finising stages of the race, Petersson and Ceronetti had a clash causing them both to fall back into the clutches of Heathamn, Bushey and Tadd. Petersson held the lead off a charging Aaron Heathman in second place. Ceronetti ended up third with Bushey and Tadd behind him. What Ceronetti did, was just about enough to take the championship win over Joel Oswick and Kasper Petersson. Unfortunately Oswick was not able to compete in the last round so he missed out on some points and dropped back to third in the championship but you can be 100% sure that he will come back feisty than ever for Season 3. More info to come looking forwards to Season 3. Stay tuned! Want to have a shot at the Season 3 title? Register today!

clean sweep for ceronetti

The penultimate round of Season 2 took place at Sonoma (USA). The championship fight is getting more heated then ever, and with the entries reaching a record of 9 people, which compensated for the most exciting race of the whole series. In qualifying Kasper Petersson took his first ever season pole, with Heathman getting really close once again in second position. Ceronetti was third and Doorgest in fourth. The heats provided some extremely close and exciting racing which saw Ceronetti and Petersson prevail in all three heats. These results had created the following grids for the Pre-Final: Ceronetti, Petersson, Heathman, Max Dane Tadd (who made a comeback to Kart Racing Pro after a long time), Oscar Pedersen, Oswick, Daniel Varverud and Jesse Doorgest. After a crash early on, the grids for the final completely turned around. Ceronetti pulled away in that Pre-Final, with Petersson, Heathman and Doorgest all fighting to share the front row in the final with Ceronetti. Championship leader Oswick had a shocker, dropping back to 6th. In the final, 60 points were on offer, and it was Ceronetti who took full points home, overtaking Oswick for the championship lead. Oswick finished second, looking extremely strong in the finishing stages of the race, with Max Dane Tadd making an incredible comeback to third. Petersson had got tangled up at the start with a few other drivers and came back to a smashing fourth place. Ceronetti is leading the championship by 1 point on drops over Oswick coming into the last round, with Petersson following behind 3 points away from Oswick. We are set for an amazing finale at San Jose (URU), which will see someone being crowned Season 2 champion! Want to join the fight for the Season 3 crown? Enter today!

JOY FOR JOEL

Round 3 was one to look forward to. A week before the race, the track was changed from Llandow (GBR) to the picturesque circuit of La Conca (ITA). Throughout the whole race day, the track kept on getting faster and faster as the day went, which payed off for closer and more intense racing. Action was not missed for sure! Oswick took an immediate advantage by taking pole position in qualifying practice. Kasper Petersson was seconnd just a tenth off the pole man. Aaron Heathman took an impressive third and Ceronetti was fourth. Doorgest and Steven Heppener following behind. After a very impressive perfromance from everyone in the heats the winners were: Joel Oswick and Petersson. Petersson impressed the most by setting fastest laps in every heat ahead of Oswick. The grid for the pre final was as follows: Joel Oswick, Kasper Petersson, Alessandro Ceronetti, Aaron Heathman, Jesse Doorgest and Steven Heppener. After the start, it was utter chaos which allowed the dutch, Steven Heppener, to take advantage of it and come out leader! Despite Heppener's big gap, Heathman and Ceronetti worked together to catch the Dutchman up, towing Petersson and Oswick behind. Ceronetti made an attempt of a move for the lead, which then soon resulted with Heppener and Ceronetti drop back a long way behind the three who were now in contention for the lead. It was between Oswick, Petersson and Heathman. After squabbling for places various times, Oswick was lead into a mistake from the Birel driver's pressure. This dropped him back between Ceronetti and Heppener behind. At the end of a very exciting Pre-Final, it was Petersson who won in front of Heathman and Ceronetti. Oswick was fourth. The final was a race clearly to look forward to. Both BKC drivers took an immediate advantage and pushed away from the rest. Heathman had greater pace than both though, and the pressure led them both into a mistake and Petersson suffered the most from it, dropping back onto fourth place. This allowed Oswick to get past Heathman and after a few laps Ceronetti. Ceronetti started playing it strategically and pushed away from the rest with Oswick. The two had a clear gap after that. This left Aaron, Petersson and Jesse battle out third place for a very long time, where eventually Heathman came out on top from and pulled away. On the closing laps, Oswick made a mistake which allowed Ceronetti to close in that metre he needed to make a move. After some agressive defending from Oswick, he came out on top with Ceronetti in second and Heathman closing the podium. Petersson was fourth, Doorgest was fifth and Heppener was sixth. La Conca offered plenty of action, the gap between Oswick and Ceronetti is down to only 3 points and 2 on drop. Petersson following up very close behind too. Heathman closing in the top 3. It's all getting very close this season of OKC. Next round will be at Sonoma Park (USA). Interested in taking part? Enter today!
