Championship Decider

It is finally time! The championship decider, the season finale, the final showdown. What a season it's been! Season 7 has brought some exciting racing and record hitting numbers! We reached 27 drivers in one meeting at Essay, and it would have not been possible without the help of the guys taking part, so huge thank you to them on my behalf. Tomorrow's showdown will take place at the iconic track of Casteletto di Branduzzo. A technical track that challenges even the best of drivers. A great venue for the last round! But who are we actually keeping an eye on?

Bryce Stevens (USA)

Bryce has not had the best of seasons, following his strong 3rd place in Season 6. He currently classifies 5th in the standings, very few points away from 4th and 3rd place. The RPD driver is looking to conclude his season on a high note at Casteletto, being fully able to as he has shown some great flashes of speed during this season but none of the luck. Bryce is defenitely one to keep an eye on in the last round.

Rowan Gill (USA)

In his rookie season, Rowan has impressed a lot of faces. Taking the podium twice this season, and a best finish of 2nd at Sarno, the American is a large favorite for the rookie title this season. although he is behind his closest rival, Corrie Hiatt by 17 points, not all is lost. With the speed Rowan has, I would not count him out to finish his season with a win, and challenging for third place in the championship, and the rookie title! His performance may be a huge indicator for the upcoming season ahead! Could he become the second ever American to win OKC?

Corrie Hiatt (USA)

Everywhere you look in OKC, Hiatt has always come out as a name to watch! In his rookie season, Hiatt has done an immaculate job throughout a tough championship. He achieved a pole position in Round 1, making him an instant favorite for the championship win! Unfortunately, luck was not always on his side, and recently in Suzuka he had the win taken away from him by a penalty. Surprisngly, Hiatt has never managed to win an OKC final race, could Casteletto be the one for Hiatt? I would defenitely put my bets on him for a win! If luck is on his side once again, he might even be able to hope for a championship contending position by the final race on Wednesday!

Daniel Fellows (USA)

Following his immaculate rookie season in Season 6, Fellows ahd a tougher job this season, but still managed to get respectable point finishes, but not the ones he might have wanted. His luck seemed to have turned around in Suzuka, as he came into terms with being able to win at Suzuka! Realistically, Fellows is not able to finish higher than 4th, but he is another contender for the win at Casteletto!

Alessandro Ceronetti (GBR)

Having achieved 2nd Place in the championship 3 Seasons in a row, following his winning Season back in Season 4, Alessandro has a tough job ahead of him to fight off Aaron Heathman, who seems to be in his prime, and simply not putting a foot wrong all season. Alessandro has gone against a lot of mistakes during the season, where after Round 3 he had lost he championship lead. Now it's all to play for, against his team-mate, as only 5 points separates the two! What a final showdown we are set to have!

Aaron Heathman (USA)

Wow! The American is about to come face to face with his 3rd championship win in a row! Aaron has not put a foot wrong all season, and now is in the prime position to take the championship win. All he has to do is to finish in front of Ceronetti, or just a position behind him. He will be looking to win the last round too, and he is looking like a big favorite too! If he takes his third consecutive championship, that will make him the most successful OKC driver in history! Will he be able to take the win AND the championship? Find out on the 17th of June 2020 at 6pm BST.
